Tips for Using the Virtual Environment
We want to make sure you have the best experience possible in the virtual environment. Technology isn’t perfect, so here are some tech tips:
Before the event, select your device:
❖For the best experience, use a desktop or laptop and the Chrome internet browser. If you don’t already have Chrome, download it here: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/
❖Other browsers work too. Shindig supports Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, but Chrome is ideal.
❖For Mobile Users, please use the Shindig app and not your mobile browser: Android App | Apple/IOS App
Bandwidth & Accessibility:
❖CLOSE OUT of all other browser tabs before entry. Additional tabs will negatively affect your bandwidth, and thus experience.
This is the #1 cause of technical issues.
❖QUIT ZOOM, TEAMS, or VPNs which may be trying to compete for your camera, bandwidth, or both. (This includes other bandwidth/internet users in your home).
